Housing Initiative in the Earthquake Zone Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz visited Gaziantep as part of the commemoration events for the February 6 earthquakes.

Inflation and Manufacturing Data in the Economy The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released the inflation data for January 2026.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 4.84% on a monthly basis, while annual inflation decreased to 30.65%.
Government officials stated that the commitment to the disinflation policy will continue.
Meanwhile, manufacturing PMI data revealed that the contraction continued for the 22nd month, remaining below the growth threshold due to the impact of weakening production and new orders.
Diplomatic Contacts and Regional Cooperation President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the strategic importance of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, regional security issues, particularly energy investments, defense industry cooperation, and the stability of Syria, were discussed comprehensively.
A message of determination was given regarding the strengthening of economic and political ties between the two countries.
Local Developments and Consumer Agenda At the local government level, planned water outages in Istanbul and the February meetings of the Kırşehir Municipal Council focusing on zoning and budget were monitored.
