Details of the Large-Scale Operation The Gendarmerie General Command carried out simultaneous operations in 27 provinces targeting arms smugglers and individuals in possession of unlicensed firearms.
The raids were conducted at numerous pre-determined addresses following coordination between Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) department, and Public Security directorates.
Simultaneous Raids in 27 Provinces The operations were meticulously executed in the provinces of Aksaray, Ankara, Antalya, Artvin, Balıkesir, Batman, Bitlis, Burdur, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Hatay, Iğdır, İzmir, Kocaeli, Konya, Mardin, Muş, Nevşehir, Ordu, Samsun, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Trabzon, and Van.
A total of 259 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody during the sweep.
