Closing Data for the BIST 100 Index Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended a volatile day at 14,259.90 points, marking an increase of 32.61 points compared to the previous close.
The index tested a daily high of 14,532.67, finishing with a 0.23% gain.
Total trading volume was recorded at 293.1 billion lira.
Sectoral Performance and Divergence Among sectoral indices, the banking index supported the market with a 1.55% gain, while the holding index declined by 1.01%.
The financial leasing and factoring sector emerged as the day's top performer with a 5.51% increase.
Conversely, the transportation sector was the biggest loser, dropping 5.00%.
Selling pressure in aviation stocks, driven by regional geopolitical risks, caused the index to give back some of its earlier gains.
Global Agenda and Macroeconomic Data In global markets, news flow regarding the US-Iran axis increased volatility, while investors shifted their focus to the upcoming FOMC meeting minutes from the US Federal Reserve.
Domestically, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released unemployment data for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The unemployment rate decreased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous quarter, falling to 8.2%.
Technical Levels and Expectations Analysts noted that domestic housing sales, the consumer confidence index, and short-term external debt stock will be monitored tomorrow.
Internationally, the Eurozone current account balance and US trade balance data are in focus.
From a technical perspective, the BIST 100 index sees resistance at 14,400 and 14,500 points, with support levels at 14,100 and 14,000 points.
