BIST 100 Index Falls 0.35% to 14,102.43 Points in First Half of the Day

Index Performance The BIST 100 index fell 0.35% to 14,102.43 points in the first half of trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Sector Performance The banking index rose 0.73%, whereas the holding index declined 0.44%.
The real estate investment trust (REIT) sector was the top performer, up 1.48%, while the information technology sector was the largest loser, down 2.54%.
Analysis Analysts noted that heightened geopolitical risks in the Middle East and rising oil prices have increased risk sentiment in global markets.
Technical Assessment Support levels for the BIST 100 index were identified at 14,000 and 13,900 points, with resistance at 14,300 and 14,400 points.
