Record Closing for the BIST 100 Index The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul concluded Monday, February 23, 2026, with a historic peak.
Gaining 0.92% at the close, the index finished the day at 14,061.71 points.
Total trading volume reached 189.6 billion lira, as purchases from both domestic and foreign investors supported the upward movement despite uncertainties regarding global trade policies.
Sectoral Performance and Trading Volume The top-performing sector of the day was financial leasing and factoring, which rose by 8.60%, while the banking index served as the market leader with a 2.23% increase.
The transportation sector was the only main sector to diverge negatively, ending the day with a 1.14% decline.
The companies with the highest trading volume for the day were as follows: Turkish Airlines (THY) Türkiye İş Bankası (C) ASELSAN Akbank Astor Enerji Technical Levels and Market Expectations Analysts state that the index holding above 14,000 points is a strong technical signal.
Technical resistance levels are identified at 14,200 and 14,300 points, while support levels are at 13,900 and 13,800 points.
Tomorrow, domestic household expectation surveys and sectoral inflation data will be monitored.
In global markets, US house price data and statements from European Central Bank President Lagarde and Bank of England Governor Bailey will be the focus of investors.
