Borsa Istanbul Starts the Week on a Positive Note Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index completed the first trading day of the week with an increase of 127.66 points, closing at 14,061.71.
During the day, the index tested a low of 14,019.99 and a high of 14,190.09, ultimately gaining 0.92% by the market close.
The BIST 30 index also saw significant gains, rising 1.40% to reach 15,707.12 points.
Sectoral Performance and Trading Volume On a sectoral basis, the financial index rose by 1.66%, the industrial index by 1.64%, and the services index by 0.34%.
Conversely, the technology index closed the day with a loss of 0.77%.
Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 68 gained value, 29 declined, and 3 remained unchanged.
The highest trading volumes of the day were recorded in shares of Turkish Airlines (THY), Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Akbank, ASELSAN, and Ereğli Demir Çelik.
Bond Market and Global Indicators In the bond and bill market, the simple yield of the government bond maturing on July 14, 2027, was 33.31%, while the compound yield stood at 36.08% for same-day value transactions.
In international markets, the Euro/Dollar parity balanced at 1.1806, the Pound/Dollar at 1.3518, and the Dollar/Yen at 154.403.
In the energy sector, the price of a barrel of London Brent crude oil increased by 1% to $71.9, driven by developments regarding global demand expectations and supply balance.
