The index, which ended Friday with a 0.94% rise at 13,934.06 points, maintained its upward momentum at the weekly opening.
Sectoral Performance and Mining Sector In the opening session, the banking index gained 1.40%, while the holding index rose by 1.01%.
While all sector indices started the day in positive territory, the mining sector was the top performer for investors, rising by 2.44%.
Tariff Uncertainty in Global Markets Global markets started the week with a mixed outlook due to legal processes regarding customs tariffs in the United States and increasing geopolitical tensions.
Risk perception rose after a court overturned U.S.
President Donald Trump's "emergency" tariffs, leading him to sign a decision to impose a 10% global customs duty on all countries under the 1974 Trade Act, with announcements that this rate could increase to 15%.
Domestic equity markets continued their rise, decoupling positively from global markets amidst this environment of uncertainty.
Technical Levels and Agenda Analysts noted a quiet domestic data agenda for today.
Internationally, durable goods and factory orders in the U.S., along with statements from European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde, will be closely monitored.
From a technical perspective, the 14,100 and 14,200 point levels stand out as resistance for the BIST 100 index, while 13,800 and 13,700 points serve as support levels.
