Bonus Share Issue Activity in Borsa Istanbul During the period of February 16–20, 2026, while the BIST 100 index ended the week with a 1.74% loss, steps taken by companies to strengthen their capital structures came to the fore.
According to notifications made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), six different companies announced decisions to increase their capital through bonus issues using internal resources and retained earnings.
High-Rate Increases in the Finance Sector The most striking capital increase decisions of the week came from the finance and investment sectors.
Tera Yatırım (TERA) aims to increase its capital by 28 billion TL with a 4000% bonus issue decision in line with its 2025 financial statements.
Destek Finans Faktoring (DSTKF) decided to increase its issued capital from 333.3 million TL to 6 billion TL, representing a 1700% increase.
The company will cover the majority of this increase from share premium accounts and legal reserves.
Capital Moves from Industrial and Food Companies Merko Gıda (MERKO) decided to increase its capital by 638.33% to 850 million TL, while Özyaşar Tel ve Galvanizleme (OZYSR) announced it would raise its capital to 423.1 million TL with a 310% bonus issue.
Both companies plan to cover the entire increase from capital adjustment differences.
New Decisions in Retail and Participation Finance Bim Birleşik Mağazalar (BIMAS) announced its decision to increase its current capital of 600 million TL by 100% to 1.2 billion TL, to be covered from internal resources.
Katılımevim (KTLEV) will submit a proposal for a 238.16% bonus share capital increase, to be funded from 2025 profits, for approval at the general assembly.
These moves by the companies will take effect following the completion of legal processes and approval from the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
