Legal Action Against Non-Compliant Sales Borsa Istanbul has issued a public announcement regarding unauthorized granulated silver sales conducted via the internet and various digital platforms.
The exchange emphasized that legal proceedings will be initiated against individuals and organizations selling these products in violation of current regulations.
Technical Requirements for Granulated Silver Sales According to the announcement, granulated silver must meet specific technical standards to be eligible for trade.
Products offered for sale are required to meet the following conditions: Products must be contained in sealed bags.
They must display information such as fineness, net weight, and the refinery's name or emblem.
The label "Granule Silver" or "Silver Granules" along with the production date must be clearly stated.
Only Authorized Entities May Conduct Transactions The exchange reminded the public that domestic trade of standard unprocessed precious metals can only be carried out by specific licensed institutions.
In this context, sales conducted outside of the following entities are considered illegal: The Turkish State Mint (Darphane).
Refineries authorized by the Ministry.
Banks.
Precious metal brokerage houses.
Authorized institutions and jewelry businesses that have obtained an authorization certificate from the Ministry of Trade.
Warning to Investors Regarding Potential Grievances Borsa Istanbul stated that transactions must be carried out through these licensed channels to prevent financial losses for investors and to protect market security.
It was further reported that audits and legal processes against those making non-compliant sales will be strictly monitored.
