Assembly Approval and Voting Process The French National Assembly has passed a comprehensive bill aimed at enhancing the digital safety of children.
The regulation, introduced by Laure Miller, a member of President Emmanuel Macron's Renaissance party, was approved with 130 votes in favor and 21 against.
Senate Process and Implementation Date Following its passage in the National Assembly, the bill is scheduled for discussion in the Senate, the upper house of parliament, in the coming weeks.
Under French law, both chambers must agree on the same text for a regulation to become law.
The legislative package, which is also supported by President Macron, is intended to take effect at the start of the new academic year in September, provided there are no delays in the legislative process.
