Decrease in Capacity Utilization Rates The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has announced the Manufacturing Capacity Utilization Rate (CUR) data for February 2026.
According to the data, the unadjusted capacity utilization rate across the manufacturing industry decreased by 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous month, reaching 73.5%.
The adjusted rate, which recorded a decrease of 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous month, was calculated at 74.0%.
The decline from 74.1% in January 2026 to 73.5% in February highlights the change in production volume.
Annual Comparison and Economic Indicators When examining historical data, the capacity utilization rate, which was 74.6% in January 2025, was recorded as 74.5% in February of the same year.
Manufacturing capacity utilization rates are considered one of the most critical leading indicators for monitoring economic activity, as they demonstrate how much of the production potential in the sector is actually being utilized.
