Weekly Performance of Investment Instruments Financial markets followed a volatile course during the week of February 16-20.
Shares traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 1.74 percent on a weekly basis, while the Euro/TL parity saw a decrease of 0.62 percent.
In contrast, gold and dollar investors closed the week with gains.
Investment funds decreased by 0.51 percent, and pension funds fell by 0.86 percent.
Sectoral Activity in Borsa Istanbul The BIST 100 index completed the week at 13,934.06 points after seeing a low of 13,718.14 and a high of 14,532.67 during the week.
On the last trading day of the week, the technology index rose by 2.09 percent, and the banking index increased by 1.85 percent.
Among sector indices, financial leasing and factoring gained the most with 8.04 percent, while the holding index lost 0.39 percent.
Turkish Airlines (THY), ASELSAN, and İş Bankası (C) were among the most traded stocks of the week.
Global Economic Growth Data Monitored Growth data from the US was the main agenda item in global markets.
The US economy grew by 1.4 percent in the last quarter of 2025, falling below expectations.
This slowdown was influenced by the longest government shutdown in the country's history and a decline in consumer spending.
Domestically, the Real Sector Confidence Index rose to 104.1 in February, while the manufacturing industry capacity utilization rate was recorded at 73.5 percent.
Expectations for the New Week and Technical Levels Analysts state that the foreign trade balance and unemployment data will be monitored domestically next week, while the US Producer Price Index (PPI) and Eurozone inflation data will be followed abroad.
From a technical perspective, 14,100 and 14,200 points stand out as resistance levels for the BIST 100 index, while 13,800 and 13,700 points are identified as support levels.
