Intense Interest During Investor Tours Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek met with approximately 800 investors during a 1.5-week international tour covering London, New York, and Hong Kong.
Şimşek emphasized that such a level of interest in Turkey was last seen in 2013, highlighting that foreign capital confidence in the Turkish economy has been restored.
Strong Economic Narrative and Disinflation Stating that Turkey possesses a globally noteworthy economic narrative, Minister Şimşek said the disinflation process continues and that maintaining resilient growth during this period is of critical importance.
He pointed out that economic activity remains strong despite the implementation of tight monetary and fiscal policies, adding that the government is focused on sustainable growth targets.
The BIST 100 index lost 1.74 percent on a weekly basis, retreating to the 13,934.06 point level.
