New Era in Parliamentary Agenda Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT), Numan Kurtulmuş, shared critical updates regarding the national agenda during an iftar program with media representatives.
Kurtulmuş stated that following the Eid al-Fitr holiday, the parliament's primary focus will be the "Terror-Free Turkey" goal, guided by commission reports and relevant legal regulations.
Emphasis on Legislative Speed Highlighting the need to accelerate the process, Kurtulmuş touched upon the importance of social consensus.
He expressed that the requirements of the current consensus and the progress made so far must be fulfilled, calling for the completion of legal processes without delay.
Developments in Syria and Regional Security During his speech, Kurtulmuş also addressed regional developments and the change of administration in Syria, emphasizing that this process closely concerns Turkey.
He noted that the new era in Syria opens strategic doors for resolving the issue of terrorism and outlined Turkey's primary priorities: Preserving Syria's territorial integrity Ensuring the integration of armed groups in the region into the new administrative structure Kurtulmuş remarked that developments in Syria are following a positive course for Turkey and that an inclusive approach against imperial plans in the region is of vital importance.
National Solidarity and Democracy Goals Referring to the work of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, the GNAT Speaker reiterated that the "Terror-Free Turkey" vision lies at the heart of these efforts.
It was stated that the Parliament will dedicate intensive working hours toward these goals in the upcoming period.
